Heardloom

How it works

How Heardloom and Lana turn a few minutes of conversation a day into a forever capsule of family stories, in English and the original.

  1. 01

    Set it up together

You create the family, add who’s in it, and invite the storyteller with a link or a code. Many families set it up in person: open the app on the storyteller’s phone, say hello to Lana together, and let the first conversation start with you beside them.

A warm first meeting with Lana

The first time they talk, Lana introduces herself, says who in the family asked her to come, and gets to know them gently. After that, she remembers what they’ve told her, follows up on unfinished threads, and weaves in the questions your family adds. If they seem tired, she offers to stop.

A patient listener who never rushes a silence and remembers every thread.

Stories in both languages, tied to their voice

After each conversation, Heardloom writes the stories down faithfully, in the storyteller’s words and in English. Every paragraph links to the exact second it was said, so you can always hear it in their voice.

  4. 04

A forever capsule of family history

Stories gather by person, place and time: a timeline, a map, a family tree, and a heritage page for traditions, dishes and sayings. Ask a question in plain language and get an answer drawn strictly from what was said.

Voices, stories, photographs, recipes and sayings — woven into one permanent family archive.

    At the table together

One Tell Story button works alone or with the whole family. At dinner or in the kitchen, put the phone on the table: when other voices join in, Lana welcomes everyone and mostly listens, and Heardloom sorts out who said what afterwards.
